Terms and Conditions
Timescales
We will endeavour to do everything we can to accommodate your order however we work to a maximum number of cakes per week and will not compromise quality through greed. For on-line orders - if we are unable to accommodate your order you will be notified within one working day and a full refund given.
Usually 6 weeks notice for wedding and 2 weeks for celebration cakes is sufficient, with less notice required during the winter months.
Customer Satisfactions Guarantee
Should you be unhappy with the cake we will do everything we can to rectify the matter before the event. If you are still unsatisfied then we will refund the price of cake in return for the product.
If there is a design probm the cake is to be photographed and e-mailed along with the details of who made the cake and who approved it (these details are on the sticker on every box) detailing the specifics of the problem. Situations where the cake is eaten and therefore not returned vouchers may be offered.
Check your order
While we take every measure possible to check orders it is the responsibility of the customer to make sure the details on the order form are accurate. While we will do everything we can to rectify the situation when an error is made the responsibility lies with the customer to check the details.
We will endeavour to respond within 1 working day. If you don't receive a reply within that time you must contact 08448 470831 as there is likely to have been a problem with the e-mail address given.
Deposits
Once the order is placed the deposit (£100 for wedding and £20 for novelty cakes) is non-transferable and non-refundable. Where the cake has been paid in full and we have been given 14 days notice the balance less the deposit will be refunded.
Truly Scrumptious Hand Delivery
Having your cake hand delivered gives Truly Scrumptious the responsibility for ensuring that your cake arrives in a perfect state and on time. Where any damage does occur then it is our responsibility to ensure that a replacement is received within the timescales given. If this is not possible, for whatever reason, then a full refund will be given.
When collection is entered for Jenners Loch Lomond or Jenners Edinburgh we need 5 working days to guarantee this service. With shorter periods we will endeavour to facilitate, but will be dependent on delivery schedules.
Courier Delivery
Cupcakes are suitable for courier delivery subject to availability.
Orders placed by 9am will arrive the next day between 9am-6pm. Deliveries are not available on a Sunday. Saturday delivery carries a premium delivery charge of £21. Monday deliveries must be booked by 9am on the Friday.
Specified delivery times are available on request and are charged at cost to the courier.
It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that there is someone at the address to receive the package. If there is a chance that there will be nobody at the address then two secure locations and a contact number are to be provided. Where these details are not provided and nobody available to receive the package then neither the courier nor Truly Scrumptious Designer Cakes can be held responsible.
The courier service has the right to refuse any delivery for whatever reason. In these circumstances a full refund will be given.
If you are not happy with the product or delivery state then you must register your complaint within 24 hours of receipt. Where the product has been damaged photographic evidence will help to clarify the problem.
Collection From Store
As you will appreciate that once the cake leaves our store then we can not be liable for any damage in transit. Please be aware that a flat surface is required to retain the stability of the cake and should be secured where possible to remove the risk of movement in transit.
If you are unsure ask a member of staff before leaving the store.
Best Before Dates
When preparing some cakes, especially larger ones, the cakes need to be in prep for two sometimes three days before the event. While we do everything to ensure that the cake is as fresh as possible for the event the best before dates are usually within two days of the event.
To assist in prolonging the shelf life the cakes are best placed in a sealed container (this will damage a sugarpaste finish) in the fridge. We do not accept liability for consumption from two days following the event.
Course Bookings
Course bookings are non-transferable and non-refundable. Where sufficient notice is given and we are able to fill the place then transfers are possible, but remain entirely at the discretion of Truly Scrumptious Designer Cakes Ltd.
Course placements must be paid in full at the time of booking. Provisional bookings are not accepted.
